MACON, Ga. — Did you feel rattled Tuesday night?
Middle Georgia was hit by an earthquake on Tuesday, just hours after another earthquake struck near a town in North Georgia, according to data from the United States Geological Survey.
They say a 2.4-magnitude earthquake happened around 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, just a few miles northwest of Cochran. No injuries or significant damage was reported.
Hours prior, a 2.6-magnitude earthquake shook Chattooga County, Georgia. Chattooga County is around 80 miles north of Atlanta, near the Alabama border. WXIA, 13WMAZ’s sister station, reported minor injuries and damage after the Chattooga County earthquake.
