And it’s drawn some controversy. Some parents have complained about the content in a show their young daughters want to go to. Other critics on the internet don’t have any skin in the game — they’re just prudes who complain about anything sexy.
But there are complaints. There is controversy. And some team members apparently think it’s not worth the risk!

An insider told DailyMail.com on Monday that even as Sabrina’s star continues to rise, internally some of her people are starting to chicken out about the sexier content:
“Sabrina’s already earned thousands in endorsements, but there are now fears that sponsors will pull out and future endorsements could be affected. You can show sexy without making it seem off-putting, embarrassing and crude. The general consensus is she’s gone way too far. The repercussions of her actions could cost her a fortune.”
Is that the “general consensus”? We mean, we’ve heard some folks complaining… but we’ve seen a LOT more sharing the clips and cheering her on. But another source says Sabrina’s early success with leaning into the sexy stuff is teaching her the wrong lessons:
“Sabrina is stuck in the mindset that she must be sexy to sell music. This is not entirely her fault. She allowed everyone around her to change her into what they wanted her to be. She has become a super sexualized version of herself and sadly this is overshadowing her talent. Her team wants to have a mini crisis intervention and is deciding how to approach this. If she doesn’t go back to her roots and who she is as an artist, she can wave goodbye to longevity.”
Hmm. It sounds like they’re worried about a repeat of 2013 Miley Cyrus — that whole twerking on Robin Thicke thing. She kind of became synonymous with it for a while.
Butt frankly the source saying she’s “become” sexualized… in the passive… That just isn’t our read here. She isn’t a teenager, y’all. She may be small, but the woman is 25 years old. This is the show she seems to enjoy doing, and she’s great at it.
And also, nothing against Miley, but… what Sabrina is doing feels a lot more subtly crafted and carefully calibrated. It’s cheeky and playful — she gives the sense she knows exactly what she’s doing at all times… and she’s winking at the audience while doing it.
Besides, Miley was able to move on. And we figure as soon as Sabrina chooses the tone of her next era, she’s going to move on, too — and prove the worrywarts wrong. What do YOU think, Perezcious readers??
