‘Fool Me Once’ Goes Top Of UK Streaming Charts, Unseating ‘Rebel Moon’ – Deadline

Harlan Coben‘s Fool Me Once has rocketed to the top of the UK streaming charts, unseating Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon on its way up.

All episodes of the thriller occupy the top eight slots of the UK streaming charts this week, with the most-watched episode sitting pretty with 12.3M viewers and the first three each having topped the 10M mark.

Dropping on New Year’s Day, Fool Me Once is the latest in a long line of Coben’s Netflix shows via his multi-year deal. It stars the likes of Michelle Keegan, Adeel Akhtar and Richard Armitage, following a woman trying to come to terms with the brutal murder of her husband.

Coben’s previous shows such as Safe and Stay Close have performed well for the streamer, handing the limelight to actors who have traditionally worked for British broadcasters such as Coronation Street and Our Girl star Keegan.

Below Fool Me Once in the seven-day streaming charts was Rebel Moon, which was watched by another 4.3M people over the past week, adding to the 16.5M who tuned in during its first week on the platform.

Third was hard-hitting ITV drama Mr Bates vs the Post Office on the ITVX player, which tells of what is broadly considered the biggest miscarriage of justice in British history when hundreds of postmasters were falsely convicted for stealing amidst accounting errors. The final ep has amassed 2M views on ITVX, adding to around 3.5M on ITV main channel.
