Wolverhampton restaurant could be demolished for hotel extension

The three-storey hotel extension would include a 94-cover restaurant and bar as well as 23 new rooms according to the application submitted to City of Wolverhampton Council.

This would increase the number of hotel rooms from 109 to 132.

A statement provided alongside the application stated that the hotel company had identified a “considerable demand” for budget accommodation in the area.

“This reconfiguration of the site will secure its economic future and support the local economy by ensuring the best use of available land to ensure the site will continue to flourish into the future,” the statement said.

This news was gathered by the Local Democracy Reporting Service which covers councils and other public service organisations.
