Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are one of young Hollywood’s biggest couples of the moment.
And although we all know they’re together, very little is actually known about their relationship.
The pair sat next to one another at the BAFTAs on February 17, wearing matching black outfits, and didn’t try to hide the fact that they were there together when cameras were pointed at them or when Chalamet was interviewed in his seat by host David Tennant.
But the couple didn’t walk the red carpet together.

And this isn’t the first time it’s happened.
The duo are often spotted out together at awards ceremonies, sharing sweet loved up moments inside the event or backstage, but never once have we seen them arrive together and walk the red carpet.
And it’s left many fans wondering why – since we all know they’re together and they don’t seem to be trying to hide it – we are still waiting on a red carpet debut.
Well, the answer is actually quite sweet.

The couple are often at red carpet events to support one another.
Most recently Jenner has been out and about supporting Chalamet as he attends awards ceremonies with nominations for his role as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.
While the couple have never spoken about it themselves, sources have shared that Jenner has been opting to skip red carpets at these events to keep the focus on Chalamet’s achievements rather than their relationship.
”Kylie didn’t want to make it about them. She wanted this night to be all about Timothée, how it was intended to be,” a source close to the couple told Page Six after Jenner skipped the red carpet at the Golden Globes.
So, if we want a red carpet debut it seems we will be waiting for an event that isn’t honouring either of their achievements – but until then, the pair will probably continue to walk the carpet solo or not at all.
Hollywood couples on their very first red carpet together
Jenner and Chalamet were first linked back in January 2023, where they were seen chatting at Paris Fashion Week.
Over the next few months several sources came out sharing that the couple were getting to know each other and having fun, but it wasn’t yet anything serious.
Then, in September that same year, the duo were spotted sharing a kiss at a Beyoncé concert.

Although it wasn’t any kind of confirmation the pair were official, it was certainly enough for the internet to run wild.
From then, the internet was in full-on sleuthing mode, keeping an eye out for any interaction between the pair that could signal some kind of confirmation.
They were spotted at the US Open together, with Chalamet having his arm slung over Jenner’s shoulders.
Chalamet later attended the WSJ. Magazine Innovators Awards to support Jenner, with her soon after attending Saturday Night Live to support Chalamet as host.
Then, in 2024, we got the first ‘official’ kiss.
The pair were sat next to one another at the Golden Globes, where Jenner attended to support Chalamet for his nomination for Wonka.
Cameras captured them sharing a kiss at their table, so it was clear the couple were no longer trying to hide anything.
Sure, the duo had been papped sharing a smooch, but this kiss was enough for the world to believe that it was official, Chalamet and Jenner were now dating.

Since then, they’ve mastered the art of the private but not secret relationship.
The pair seem to have no issues being seen together at events but refuse to take the spotlight away from one another in front of the press.
At the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala in January 2025, Chalamet was asked by Entertainment Tonight about how it felt to have Jenner at the event for support and he expertly dodged the question.
“It’s a great feeling to be in a room with so much love and so many great peers, and people that fantastic,” he answered.

So, as much as we all want to see a sweet snap of Chalamet hanging out with Jenner’s kids, it looks like it simply won’t be happening anytime soon.
But, we can rest assured knowing the lack of details on their relationship isn’t due to lack of connection, but simply because the duo prefer to live a private life.
Here’s to hoping that young Hollywood’s hottest couple make it long enough that we maybe one day start to get some more insider details from the duo themselves.
