Saban Films has released a trailer for its upcoming action crime thriller Ruthless. The movie stars Dermot Mulroney (Scream VI) as a man who finds himself fighting to take down a trafficking ring.
The film centers on Harry (Mulroney), “a high school wrestling coach recovering from the loss of his daughter who was murdered in a brutal attack. When one of his students disappears under conditions eerily similar to his daughter’s, Harry decides to finally take matters into his own hands to hunt down the men responsible for her kidnapping and will stop at nothing to rescue her from their human trafficking operation.”
Yeah, it’s pretty much another one of those movies trying to be Taken, but not as good. Mulroney looks like he gives a solid kickass performance, though. The movie comes from director Art Camacho, and it also stars Jeff Fahey, Melissa Diaz, Mauricio Mendoza, Tonantzin Esparza, and Niko Foster.
Saban Films will release the movie direct-to-VOD starting December 15th, 2023.
