Banks recently made a triumphant return to the Victoria’s Secret catwalk to walk in the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show alongside the likes of Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kate Moss, Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio.
As she prepares to launch her new ice cream store in Sydney, called Smize & Dream, Banks tells 9honey Celebrity about her return to the Victoria’s Secret runway after 19 years, where she closed the show in an incredible and show-stopping moment.
Banks says she had an incredible moment backstage with fellow supermodel Kate Moss, 51, who like Banks, rose to fame in the modelling world in the ’90s.

“I never said this, there were so many cameras and stuff so, Kate Moss, I’m saying this to you!” she says with a laugh.
“She came [up] and I didn’t have my glasses on, I’m near-sighted, but I didn’t know who it was, came to a makeup mirror cause there was 50 of us in one room and sat down and goes, ‘Hi Tyra!’ And I was like, ‘Hiii!'” Banks explains.
“But I didn’t know who it was. I should probably DM her or something. We’re not friends, we weren’t friends [during their modelling careers], but we weren’t enemies.”

But Banks says the moment “touched her heart”.
“But the hello she gave me was so touching, because we weren’t friends back in the day, so It just was like, ‘Ohhhh.’ It touched my heart, touched my heart,” she explains.

“And I had a moment with Bella Hadid, she was the sweetest thing in the world and I told her, ‘girl, on that runway you looked like AI, you did not look real, her outfit and her,” Banks explains, saying how incredible Hadid looked.
“Both of the girls are really sweet!” she adds.
Banks, who has been living in Australia recently, says she might soon make a return to modelling for good, and Down Under. She retired in 2005.
