Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval’s bar – Schwartz & Sandy’s – has slashed their menu and seemingly downsized the staff. Meanwhile, a source claimed the establishment is “dead on weekends,” while Lisa Vanderpump’s Sur restaurant is booming.

Schwartz & Sandy’s opened in November of 2022, and business was successful until news broke of Sandoval’s affair with Raquel Leviss, now a central storyline on Vanderpump Rules.

According to a report from The U.S. Sun, the Toms slashed their Schwartz & Sandy’s menu – which has been given a major makeover, with limited cocktails.

The number of cocktails dropped from eight to four. The new menu has drinks titled The Fresh Start, Arugula Awakening, Midnight Madagascar, and Wendy Peppercorn.

Their mushroom-gruyere beignets appetizer was cut from the menu. They now have a dessert in honor of Schwartz, called Strawberry Schwartz Cake.

The menu is more simplified now, and the dining and drinks are broken up. The old menu was divided into salads, appetizers, entrees, wine and cocktails, and featured a palm tree in the background.

A source claimed the menu changes were carried out earlier in the year.

Despite rumors that the bar was shutting down, Schwartz recently denied it, though he admitted that the business has slowed. According to a source, less than 10 customers can be found at the “empty bar” from 10 pm to 12 am, on Saturday, March 9.

They appeared to have downsized; three staffers ran the front of the bar on that date.

Meanwhile, Peter MadrigalLisa Vanderpump’s manager for Sur – said her restaurant prepared for 400 people on the same day.

But an insider claimed Tuesday night is busier at Schwartz & Sandy’s, which hosts a Vanderpump Rules viewing party.

Other sources told The U.S. Sun that the bar has fewer customers during the weekend.

“It’s been dead on weekends,” said an insider who went to the bar on a Saturday evening in December, and once again this January.

“There was only a couple of people at another table. It was empty.”
