The Passing Notes Need Your Support

The Passing Notes are Montclair’s only student-run high school a capella group.

The Passing Notes—Montclair’s only student-run high school a cappella group has been in existence for over two decades.

Every year, students dedicate nearly 200 hours to rehearsing, refining their sound, and performing throughout Montclair and beyond. The Passing Notes have had some incredible opportunities, from winning Best Arrangement at the ICHSA Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinals to singing at the JED Gala in NYC, performing at two weddings, and singing at various community events.

The Passing Notes need to raise funds to support the group’s expenses—everything from transportation to gigs to competition fees and more. With 23 members, the costs add up quickly. The Passing Notes need your support to keep going. The group is also in the process of recording their 2024-25 album. Funds will support that effort and help ensure future generations of the group have the resources to compete, record and continue making great music.
