Real Housewives of Potomac star Candiace Dillard-Bassett has had an interesting season on the show. From talks of her being iced out by the cast to revealing she has an exit plan, she’s a major force. She recently sat down for an interview, and she not only discussed the NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams feud, but she also talked about Robyn sharing text messages with bloggers.
For context, NeNe recently came out and said that Porsha refused to work with her on a Netflix show. Later, she posed for pictures with Porsha’s ex, Simon.
Candiace was asked about this while appearing on Way Up With Angela Yee. She said, “So I was actually approached for this same role. I was in LA when I got the call, and then I was sort of waiting around to see if they were gonna call me, and they never did, so I went home.”
She continues, “Kenya, I also heard was approached for this same role. So they were just reaching out to all the acting housewives, and it went to NeNe and Porsha.”
Candiace then attempts to make sense of the drama between Porsha and NeNe. In a nutshell, she feels that Porsha simply doesn’t see NeNe as someone she wants to work with.
She says, “NeNe was looking at their friendship and conflicting that with a working relationship. Clearly, Porsha is fine to kiki and break bread with you and have drinks with you, but she doesn’t see you as someone she wants to work with. Those are two different relationships.”
When Angela brings up NeNe being seen out with Simon, Candiace says, “That’s nasty work.”
The conversation then turns to Robyn sending text messages between herself and Candiace to a blogger.
She says, “Why did she do that? And then not owning it is the part that I’m confused by.”
She then says, “And this blogger has since exposed himself as somewhat of a colorist, so it’s interesting that she is choosing to align herself with someone like that.”
However, Candiace confirms that she does not believe that Robyn is a colorist. Fans can watch The Real Housewives of Potomac on Sunday nights.
