Pink Australia tour: Pink’s emotional message to Australian fans as she breaks massive record

It’s no secret Pink has a special bond with her fans Down Under, and that’s something she’s penned a special message about.

As she approaches the final two shows of her Summer Carnival Tour’s Australian leg – she’s set to finish up her historic 20 stadium show run in Townsville this weekend – a party was held marking the So What singer’s mammoth Aussie milestone.

“HUMBLE/NOT SO HUMBLE BRAG…. I had a party to go to in my honour, thrown for me by my record company and Michael Coppel and they said all kinds of nice things about me and it made me very uncomfortable and moved to tears at the same time,” Pink wrote on Instagram this morning alongside photos from the event.

“So here are my feelings and some of the nice things…… My feelings: AUSTRALIA – AND NEW ZEALAND…. I love you and I love it here,” Pink continued.

“You get me, and you always have. We’ve grown up together over the last 20 years. And we’ve danced, laughed, screamed and cried together, too.

“You’ve always been there for me, but this week I learned just how great your support has been.”

The 44-year-old global superstar went on to explain just how record-breaking her Australian Summer Carnival Tour leg has been.

During her six Australian tours – beginning with her Try This Tour in 2004 – Pink has sold more than 3.1 million tickets.

”That’s the most career ticket sales ever achieved by an international performer in Australia and New Zealand,” she said of the record-breaking achievement.

As for the Australian Summer Carnival Tour specifically, which started in Sydney on February 9, its ticket sales are “the biggest for any tour by a female artist in Australia.”

“Nobody else has ever played 20 stadium shows across Australia and New Zealand in a single tour, but we just did it together on the Summer Carnival Tour,” Pink wrote.

According to Billboard, almost one million tickets have been sold for Pink’s Australian and New Zealand Summer Carnival Tour leg, which is a volume by far the biggest for any female headliner that’s toured Down Under.

It’s understood that Pink’s mammoth ticket sales are second only to Ed Sheeran‘s 2018 Divide Tour, which sold more than one million tickets.

Her 20 stadium shows are also the most ever performed by any artist on a single tour in Australia and New Zealand.

“I’m not often lost for words, but you really did it to me this week,” she continued.

“Your support is never lost on me and it’s a privilege to do this with you every day.

“From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Here’s to another 20 years together 💜”.
