Phaedra Parks Defends Brandi Against Caroline’s Claims of Assault

The news about the hopefully upcoming season of the Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip has been brewing since the start of the year. As fans will recall, both Brandi Glanville and Caroline Manzo departed the trip early. This was due to Brandi allegedly kissing Caroline during filming without her consent. Now, Married to Medicine star Phaedra Parks is speaking out.

Of course, Bravo and Shed Media, which is the production company behind RHUGT, investigated the matter. The media company also had this to say via a statement, “The safety and security of cast and crew while shooting is extremely important, and we take all reports seriously. In this situation, production immediately launched a comprehensive review and is taking appropriate action.”

Now, Phaedra is giving her side of the story as she was also on that season of RHUGT. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star spoke to US Weekly at BravoCon and had a much different view of events.

Phaedra said simply, “Absolutely nothing happened.” She continued, “So, let’s roll the tapes! I was there, and honey, I was sober. Sober, sober. I really don’t drink, so I saw it all.”

Phaedra went on to claim, “It was a Harlequin romance. Love was winning.”

The Married to Medicine star also debunked rumors that Peacock wouldn’t air the season of RHUGT by saying, “I’m excited that you all will get to see it because you need to see it for yourself — because it’s definitely been way exaggerated.” She hopes the new season will stream at the beginning of the year. Notably, Andy Cohen also believes the season will air despite the drama.

While neither Caroline nor Brandi have spoken explicitly about the situation during the filming of RHUGT, Brandi responded to Phaedra’s comments. The former Bravo star retweeted the interview and captioned it with a heart emoji.

Previously, Caroline appeared on Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp’s Two Ts and a Pod podcast, but she only referred to the situation during the filming of RHUGT as being “very traumatic.” Previously, Brandi tweeted about the incident but gave no concrete details.

She posted, “It was at the end of an 18-hour day at our belly dancing party & I’d like to see footage on it. I’m f–king sick of this narrative. I was hired for a 2nd season of girls trip cuz they LOVED what I did on 1st season I was told to bring the party just like before & that’s exactly what I did & I was punished for it. It feels like a f–king setup. It’s BS & Caroline was fine.”

Regarding casting for RHUGT, it includes Caroline Manzo of RHONJ, Alex McCord of RHONY, Eva Marcille and Phaedra Parks of RHOA, Brandi Glanville and Camille Grammer of RHOBH, and Vicki Gunvalson and Gretchen Rossi of RHOC.

Peacock will soon air the Legacy version of RHONY as the fifth season of RHUGT.
