We have bittersweet news for all the Malcolm in the Middle fans out thereā¦
With the believed sitcom returning for a reunion series 25 years after its debut, fans have been excited to hear any updates. We know Frankie Muniz is returning as Malcolm, with Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek coming back as his parents Hal and Lois.
Well, we learned on Tuesday Malcolm’s brothers would be back, too! Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield will be reprising their roles as his older brothers Francis and Reese! But one person who WONāT be returning? Baby bro Erik Per Sullivan, who memorably played Dewey.
Erik quit acting in 2010 — a lot of child actors just decide it’s not what they want when they grow up, and that’s totally fine!

Malcolm’s youngest brother, who wast last seen as a toddler, will be played by Anthony Timpano. And spoiler alert: the child Lois became pregnant with at the end of the OG series will be back, too — and played by Vaughan Murrae.
