Exhibit B: This very questionable video of Zuck doing Benson Boone cosplay for his wife’s birthday. I didn’t ask for this, and neither did you — and, you have to wonder if his wife did as well.
Specifically, Mark was wearing an Ardsley Athletics shirt that Jesse Eisenberg wore in the classic 2010 film The Social Network while portraying him — and when I say he was wearing an Ardsley Athletics shirt, I mean he was wearing the exact same shirt that Jesse wore.
“Yeah, that’s true,” Mark replied when he was asked about the shirt. “One of my friends saw this online in an auction and was like, ‘You have to get this.’ So I was like, ‘Alright, yeah, sure, let’s get it.’”
“This is his shirt. Well, it’s my shirt now. But it was his shirt.”
Mark’s gesture — if you could call it that — is extra “funny” when you consider Jesse’s recent comments about not wanting to be associated with the real-life character he infamously portrayed.
“It’s not like I played a great golfer or something, and now people think I’m a great golfer,” Jesse said at the time. “It’s like this guy that’s doing things that are problematic — taking away fact-checking and safety concerns, making people who are already threatened in this world more threatened.”
Can’t blame you there! Anyway, now you’re basically shirt brothers, so my condolences.
