Lala Kent says Scheana Shay should be able to hang out with Tom Sandoval without “ask[ing] for permission,” reveals what Scheana is like off camera, and seemingly suggests that Ariana Madix is playing up to the audience.
On the current season of Vanderpump Rules, Ariana is swinging her ‘me or Tom’ ultimatum like a hammer following her ex-boyfriend’s affair. Many fans feel she’s turned into a tyrant, showing little sympathy for Scheana, who feels caught in the middle.
On her Give Them Lala podcast, Lala was asked if Ariana will not “ever” be cool with Scheana being friends with Sandoval, even if it’s “years” down the road after Tom has worked on himself.
“The rate we’re going, I could see her [not ever changing on] that,” said Lala, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “I’m like, ‘Ok, is letting go happening at all? Is indifference setting in?’ I don’t know … I just wish Scheana would just move according to how she feels [and] not ask for permission.”
She then praised James Kennedy for choosing to support Ariana while also choosing to have dinner with “whoever he wants to f**king go have dinner with” because he’s a “grown-a** man.”
“Let me tell you something, anybody who actually gets to meet Scheana, you’re gonna pick Scheana. She’s fun. She smiles. She’s light energy. You’re gonna have a heyday with Scheana. You can talk about her being a flip-flopper all day. I don’t care what anyone watches. In real life, cameras down, she doesn’t play to the audience,” said Lala, seemingly insinuating that Ariana does.
Lala explained that Scheana struggles with an “internal battle” of making everyone else happy while also trying to make herself happy.
“This is what you get when someone tries to play that way,” she added. “I wish she would’ve just let it be, [saying], ‘I got your back Ariana. I will always choose you … but I’m gonna kick it with him if I feel like because I’m a grown adult.’”
