Donald Trump has gone all-in on renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.”
Google has already said it would comply with the president’s executive order and label its maps “Gulf of America.”
And now, a certain person has chimed in.
Yes, Jimmy Buffett post-humously went on X and said it should be renamed “Gulf of Margaritaville.”
People are confused by this one, mainly because Jimmy died in 2023.
“Mister, didn’t you die?” this person asked.
“Welcome back king!” another person rejoiced.
And this person said, “My man Jimmy tweeting from heaven, gotta respect the grind.”
Other people are…disturbed.
“I don’t like that dead Jimmy Buffett still has a Twitter,” one person said.
“So, what we’ve learned is that Jimmy Buffett left his management team his Twitter password on his will when he died in 2023?” another person said.
And this person called this life update “Absolutely electric.”
Ultimately, a bunch of people agree with Jimmy, and I’m not gonna lie: The Gulf of Margaritaville really does have a nice ring to it.
