GHSA girls basketball state playoff results for Central Georgia

MACON, Ga. — The state playoffs are here.

Teams have worked all season to reach this point, and now, their dreams are within reach. With just a few games between them and a state title, everything is on the line.

Some teams will be entering after earning region tournament gold, while others will be reeling after a disappointing end to the regular season – but none of that matters, because now, each one of these teams has a chance to become state champions.

Veterans vs Jackson County

• Veterans won 54-45. They will face the winner of Glynn Academy vs Alexander in the second round.

Northside vs Habersham Central

• Northview won 69-34. They’ll face Jones County in the second round.

Jones County vs Cedar Shoals

• Jones County won 55-36. They’ll face Northview in the next round.

Warner Robins vs Southwest DeKalb

• Warner Robins won 58-51. They will face North Oconee in the next round.

Howard vs Pickens (tipoff on Wednesday)

• Baldwin won 60-52. They will face White County in the next round.

• Westside won 38-37. They will face the winner of Morgan County vs Drew Charter in the next round.

• ACE won 57-47. They will face Jeff Davis in the next round.

Dodge County vs Thomasville

• Dodge County won 91-90 in overtime. They will face Heard County in the next round.

• Central won 57-36. They will face Social Circle in the next round.

Northeast vs Lamar County

• Lamar County won 54-47. They will face the winner of Putnam County vs Gordon Lee in the next round.

Washington County vs Brantley County

• Washington County won 60-48. They will face Banks County in the next round.

• East Laurens won 70-26. They will face the winner of Bremen vs Fitzgerald in the second round.

Wilkinson County vs Randolph-Clay

• Randolph-Clay won 67-31. They will face Charlton County in the next round.

• Wilcox County won 61-44. They will face the winner of Taylor County vs Atlanta Classical Academy in the next round.

• Hawkinsville won 46-29. They will face Macon County in the next round.

Macon County vs Manchester

• Macon County won 50-31. They will face Hawkinsville in the next round.

Johnson County vs Calhoun County

• Johnson County won 58-50. They’ll face Turner County in the next round.

Hancock Central vs Pelham

• Pelham won 51-45. They’ll face Clinch County in the next round.

Twiggs Academy vs Memorial Day

• Memorial Day won 57-45. They’ll face Robert Toombs in the next round.

• Gatewood won 40-36. They advance to a second round matchup against Brentwood, who had a bye in the first round.

Trinity Christian vs Sherwood Christian

• Trinity Christian won 73-41. They’ll face Edmond Burke in the next round.

Central Fellowship had a bye in the first round. They will play the winner of the Furtah Prep-Westminster Christian matchup in the second round.

John Milledge vs Deerfield-Windsor

• John Milledge won 55-39. They’ll face Terrell in the next round.

Westfield vs St. Andrew’s

• Westfield won 47-20. They’ll face Frederica in the next round.

Piedmont had a bye in the first round. They will play Westminster-Augusta in the second round.

Mount de Sales vs Loganville Christian
