Constitutional Amendments and parish-wide measures that Louisiana voters selected

LOUISIANA (KTAL/KMSS) — Voters have the opportunity to vote on proposed Louisiana Constitutional amendments that would allow local parish governments to grant additional property tax exemptions to first responders and restrict overall spending.

The third amendment proposes an additional tax break for police, firefighters, and other first responders who reside in the parish and own homes.

The Louisiana Legislature’s ability to veto override procedures was another measure before voters on the ballot.
