Chicago Man Sues ‘Are We Dating The Same Guy?’ Facebook Page After Women Share Alleged Red Flags!

File this under the Streisand effect!

According to CBS News, Nikko D’Ambrosio filed a lawsuit against dozens of women, one male relative, and several tech companies after his name, photo, and alleged harassing text messages he sent to women were posted in an “Are we dating the same guy?” Facebook page. And now he’s going viral for it!

For those who don’t know, the AWDTSG page was created in New York City in March 2022 as a tool for women to warn each other about men on the dating scene in their area. There are more than 120 regional groups now. And it was the Chicago edition of the group who had some not-so-nice things to say about Nikko!

Several women took to the page to label him as a horrible date, with some calling him “very clingy” and other women claiming he “ghosted” them after sleeping with them, per screenshots included in the complaint obtained by The Philadelphia Inquirer. Some of the comments read:

“I went out with him a few times just over a year ago- he told me what I wanted to hear until I slept with him and then he ghosted… I’d steer clear.”

“We met organically in Chicago two and a half months ago. Very clingy very fast. Flaunted money very awkwardly and kept talking about how I don’t want to see his bad side, especially when he was on business calls.”

Other comments stated photos of Nikko were posted in the group before, as he allegedly called a woman nasty names when she refused to spend the night with him. Screenshots of one of the women’s texts showed him allegedly saying:

“Speak for yourself you ugly [uninteligible] fake w***e.”

WTF?!!

However, Nikko insists none of these posts are true! In the complaint, he alleged that he and the woman who first posted about him in the group met at an event in Chicago. When they hit it off, Nikko claimed they had consensual sex that night and went on several dates. However, he claims they “never engaged in an exclusive dating relationship.” So when Nikko found out about his name being dragged through the mud on the Facebook page, he was upset.

Per the complaint, Nikko claimed the woman maliciously lied about him and their relationship. He further alleged that the other commenters knew their accusations were false and humiliated him. His attorney Marc Trent further told CBS News that Nikko did not send the harassing texts — despite the screenshots in the group. Even if he had sent them, though, the lawyers argued his words would be protected under the First Amendment as free speech. Hmm, but by that logic, aren’t at least some of the women here just exercising their free speech too? Regardless, his attorney insists Nikko is the “victim” in this situation, and they are fielding hundreds of calls from other guys in similar situations:

“Our client’s a victim. He’s a victim on this matter, and we want to stop there from being there being additional victims in the future.”

Nikko is suing for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy by false light, civil liability for doxxing, misappropriation, unjust enrichment, and public disclosure of private facts. On top of wrecking his reputation, Nikko says the situation has caused him stress, anxiety, and unspecified lost earnings. He wants compensation for the alleged damages. The complaint added, per The Philadelphia Inquirer:

“[Their] wrongful conduct is so outrageous in character and so extreme in degree that it is beyond all possible bounds of decency and is to be regarded as atrocious and utterly intolerable in a civilized community.”

A hearing is scheduled for March 11. Hear more about the lawsuit (below):
