Bronwyn Confronts Lisa on Miscarriage Claim

You know it’s going to be an explosive event when Andy has to come up with “safe words” to be put into place when it becomes too chaotic on set. Naturally, Lisa suggests “besos,” and the Greek queen Angie proposes “opa.” The drama unleashes right out of the gate on the first part of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion, demonstrating that Lisa and Bronwyn may never mend their “friendship.”

The women enter one at a time, using the set as their catwalk. Bronwyn is rocking some dress, making it impossible for Whitney to see past her sleeves in her spot at the end of the couch. #Downgrade. Andy reminds the group that yes, they ARE recording, and he checks in with each one of them.

He congratulates Meredith on her bat mitzvah, praises Heather for her new book, and wonders how Lisa’s flight was NOT in 17C. Whitney dons jewelry from her line (not Alibaba), Bronwyn talks about her new Insta bestie Rihanna, and Mary shares that Robert Jr. is doing well. In an interesting twist, Britani and Angie wanted to wear the same dress, but you had better believe Angie won that issue.

Before diving in, Andy asks the group to set some intentions, and Bronwyn admits that she wants to get somewhere with apologies, and Whitney wants to get to the bottom of her drama with Lisa.

The major conflicts of the season are highlighted immediately in the video montage. Whitney is forced to explain Alibaba having the same photos as her jewelry line, Prism. Whitney tries to say that the photo was on her website for 48 hours as a placeholder. It was then swapped out with a curated piece from Prism. Huh?

Lisa dances around any evidence implicating her as the rumor spreader, claiming Whitney never gave proof so her investigator could not run down any leads.

The topic switches to Heather betraying Angie’s trust when she went back to Lisa about Angie’s video game comment/bad mom moment. Angie knows that Heather loves her, but she does not appreciate that Heather twisted her words. It is clear that Heather wanted to be loyal to Lisa, and around and around they go.

As the volume escalates, Whitney wonders if Andy wants to borrow her ball gag, and Mary muses that there needs to be a mute button. Lisa goes on to yell, I mean say, that she did tell Bronwyn about what Angie said, but she wanted to handle it with Angie herself. Bronwyn doesn’t think she did much wrong, and she tells a furious Lisa that if she wants to get big, “Let’s get big. I can play, too.” Lisa immediately backs down, but Bronwyn points out that Lisa repeats conversations, yet it somehow seems okay for HER to do it.

It seemed like Lisa and Angie got back on track… until the finale when things blew up again. On Twitter, Angie said that Lisa has a Park City mystery man who buys her lip filler, and Angie blames her angry blow-up on Meredith, who started posting about Angie being a backup dancer to Jen Shah.

Meredith reminds Angie that she did a “WAP” video with Jen and Monica, but Angie feels like Meredith is trying to jab her. Angie states that she is nobody’s backup dancer! Angie also said how Lisa’s G-Wagon got repossessed, and Heather jumps in to say that Bronwyn heard that. Bronwyn explains that she repeated it to Angie, but she is not the one who tweeted it to the world.

Bronwyn’s four-million-dollar necklace gets brought up. Bronwyn is not wearing it, which leaves many to wonder if she rented the jewels for shock value. Interestingly, Lisa is friends with the jeweler that Bronwyn allegedly bought from, and this jeweler texted her out of the blue saying she feels burned by Bronwyn. Looks like this jeweler just shot herself in the foot for future business with her loose lips about customers… Lisa allows Andy to peruse the texts and looks on smugly.

Bronwyn states that her friendship with Lisa is on a time-out, and she explains that she didn’t feel like Lisa was being a friend to her. Bronwyn admits to chasing Lisa the whole season. Bronwyn now realizes that she is Lisa’s social friend and not a really good friend. Lisa agrees to this.

When it comes to Bronwyn, Heather claims she got a quick read on her, but she does not regret it. Whitney points out that she was always there for Bronwyn, and she wonders why Bronwyn would not claim her publicly as a friend. Bronwyn admits to placing Lisa on a higher pedestal, but she understands that she should have realized there were other friendships there. When it comes to Palm Springs, Heather felt hurt by Bronwyn embarrassing her and leaving her out.

Heather’s weight loss is the next topic: Is that the reason for her mean-girl energy this season? According to Heather, season one Heather had more confidence. But Mary makes it clear that Heather is different — now, she is more self-assured. Heather is proud of herself and gets emotional about the progress.

Bronwyn never expected to share the story of Lisa knowing Gwen’s grandparents. But because Lisa is friends with Gwen’s grandparents, there is a connection, and a can of worms has been opened. Bronwyn felt like she confided in Lisa, but she was betrayed with insensitivity. When Lisa appeared on the aftershow, she talked about Gwen’s grandparents and their hearts. She explained that they believed Bronwyn had a miscarriage, which would explain why they had never tried to connect with Gwen.

Bronwyn reminds Lisa of what really happened. Bronwyn’s dad called the grandparents to let them know about Gwen and left a message, and they’ve heard nothing from them since. Bronwyn wanted to be careful with how this subject was approached because, in the 18 years of being Gwen’s mom, she has protected the father’s identity. Lisa appears to side with the grandparents more than Bronwyn on this topic, and Bronwyn is aghast about Lisa’s hurtful aftershow comments.

Lisa admits that she should have never talked about the grandparents and made the connection. Lisa makes it clear that she would never want to hurt Bronwyn and Gwen. Bronwyn goes on to share that the ball is in Gwen’s court about connecting with her grandparents.

When it comes to a path forward with Bronwyn and Lisa, Bronwyn doesn’t appreciate how Lisa did not stick up for her. She needs some sympathy in this personal situation. Lisa becomes dramatic, and she states she is so sorry she “f*cks up on the daily.” BUT she also feels bad for the grandparents since they are also in this painful situation.

After a commercial break, the husbands join the set — well, all except Robert Sr., who does not want a part of this show at all (perhaps some of the other guys should follow suit since this season the husbands really got involved).

Todd and Bronwyn’s marriage is under the microscope first. His bluntness gets called out, and Bronwyn claims that their relationship is stronger now after watching the show. Todd is aware that people have opinions, but that does not mean they are true. Perhaps people are just envious of what they’ve done together over the last 10 years.

Todd did not appreciate the personal and sensitive issues brought up on camera, and John immediately jumps on him, denying that Lisa is to blame. Todd clarifies that he was talking about the aftershow miscarriage chatter, and John tells Todd to watch his tone. Todd claps back with, “Watch your tone,” and the games have officially begun…
