Part three of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion brings Britani to the couch. She gets no grand entrance, due to time constraints, and you better believe she is miffed by this. Britani throws shade when she finds herself in the hot seat and continues to deny she recorded the group. But the group has bigger issues to work out- like how to come back from that final night in Mexico when Heather tried her version of “immersion therapy” on the ladies. Will they all ever get to a place of understanding again?
Britani jumps right in, attempting to explain her on-again, off-again relationship with Jared Osmond. Britani explains she could not trust him and Bronwyn points out that although she should not have said Britani was only after him because of his last name, Jared is truly the worst. Bronwyn and Jared have their own issues. Jared has referred to Bronwyn as a “treacherous little b*tch,” but that might be because she said during the after show that he had a “micro penis” (a rumor she merely repeated).
To retaliate, Jared sent Bronwyn a seething message, which Andy, like a little school girl, cheers Bronwyn on to read. Even Britani is shocked to hear the language used to address Bronwyn. “I guarantee I am twice the size of any man you have ever been with…I can certainly pick apart all of your anatomy.” This is just nasty behavior. Britani actually says he embarrasses her. Jared also claimed that Britani got on the show because of him: “I give her relevance.”
Britani swears the Jared chapter is a thousand percent closed, but alas, according to producers, we come to find out they are once again Instagram official. Exhausting.
Since the show has wrapped, Britani proudly shares she has reconnected with both of her daughters, no thanks to Bronwyn. Angie reminds Britani that she said she put men before her daughters and Bronwyn makes it clear that as a single mother, she always put her daughter first.
Bronwyn hurts Britani’s feelings, as she was allegedly the only one who knew Britani’s whole story. Bronwyn gets whiplash hearing that she is, apparently, the reason for Britani’s estrangement. Bronwyn refuses to take responsibility for the fact that Britani did not talk to her daughters for six months, but Britani claims Bronwyn dropped messy things about Britani so her daughters could find out.
Andy points out that when Britani was cast on the show, she was already estranged. Britani’s whole meeting with casting was all about how she is not speaking to her daughters, but Britani is claiming it was “touch and go” and hangs three months’ responsibility on Bronwyn.
Everyone loved Meredith‘s Bat Mitzvah, but Britani’s religious get together went sideways when Angie brought the infamous wine. Heather feels, “It’s not Angie’s responsibility to keep up Britani’s façade as being the perfect Mormon.” She goes on to say that Britani leads a double life. Britani is having sex and she is drinking, so Angie gifting Britani a bottle of wine should not offend her. To look like you are in good standing in the Church, you should not be doing the things that Britani is doing. Angie believes that Britani is not a “true Mormon,” but Britani retorts she can live her religion any way she wants.
And for the record, Angie never called Britani a slut, she just repeated what Britani had said. Bronwyn points out that there are examples of Britani saying things, but then she does not like it when someone repeats it. For instance, Britani cannot say she likes to drink wine and then be mad that someone brings her a bottle of wine.
Mary is not even sure why Britani would bring up sleeping with Jared when she was in the hot seat for recording the group. Britani claims she did it to prove that she was not a liar…that it was done in good faith to prove she can be trusted by opening up about her darkest secret.
Andy breaks down the beginning of the Mexico trip. Lisa defends her decision to have Bronwyn stay in the other villa, claiming wanted make Bronwyn comfortable after the dog bites. Regarding Bronwyn’s injuries, she did not sue the dog owner and even paid to have the dog checked out. The dog has some medical issues and now lives on a farm safely.
Lisa stormed out of the Vida dinner in Mexico because she thought her friendship with Angie was stronger. Lisa tried to be a peacemaker at that dinner with Angie and Meredith. But Angie wonders why Meredith didn’t take her out alone. Meredith is, after all, lawyer and Angie is a “f*cking beauty school student.”’
Lisa explains she was hurt after Angie shut her down and that she was merely trying to help. Bronwyn feels like Lisa takes it more seriously when it happens to her versus when it happens to someone else. Take for instance when Whitney spoke about Lisa’s marriage. All hell broke loose. Lisa wonders when Bronwyn has stepped up for her in public, but footage is shown to disprove that point.
Meredith shuts Britani down immediately when the throwing up in Mexico resurfaces. Britani shares that she had an eating disorder and so she would never claim that unknowingly about Meredith. Meredith wants no excuses, but for Britani to stop talking about it.
When it came to the video, Britani gave FOUR excuses why she was recording the group, yet no one believes any of them. Britani blames a bad edit, but a clip shows Britani recording for 24 seconds. You can’t make that edit up… The women freaked because of the trauma they went through last season, but Britani claims she was traumatized, as well. Mary has zero tolerance, telling Britani, “Get over it babe. It happened and it’s done. Hopefully, you are, too.” Mary doesn’t think that Britani is honest and believes she is a little bit “lopsided.”
Meredith explains that Jen Shah called her from prison and Whitney wonders how that is not any worse than her talking to Monica. Mary believes that Jen Shah tormented the women, but Meredith feels like Jen is being accountable for her actions, as opposed to Monica. Mary feels like Jen went too far and is not worthy of a second chance, pointing out that Jen blamed Meredith and Monica for going to prison.
Heather’s game of reading the meanest text in their phone gets revisited from Mexico. Heather was tired of the women hurting each other so she wanted to burn the bad words. Mary doesn’t believe that some of the women take accountability. Bronwyn agreed to the game and it worked with Angie, despite Angie stating that Bronwyn “sucked her way to the top.”
The game went downhill when Whitney showed Lisa the rumor she repeated about her marriage. Whitney finds it frustrating that Lisa will not burn it and move on, like everyone else. Lisa refuses to do what everybody else does, since she is her own person. Lisa keeps saying that Whitney lies about her and feels that because the group f*cked her over, it is hard to be vulnerable.
Lisa brings it back to her family life, being one of six kids, and so she protects herself all of the time. When people come for her boys and her husband, she gets triggered. Lisa points out that Whitney is super hurtful and Whitney does not think it’s fair that she has to always take accountability but Lisa does not. Lisa ends it with “we’re gonna have disagreements but I do love you.” Hallelujah.
Before the final thoughts, Britani is asked to exit, much to her chagrin. Andy wants the group to close on a positive note: each woman say the best thing that comes to mind when you think of this person.
Mary calls Heather powerful and full of love. Lisa lets Whitney know she is a great mom and wishes her all the best with AliBaba, I mean, her businesses. Meredith tells Angie she is a good mom and can even be a good friend. Angie lets Meredith know that she “secretly likes” her. Bronwyn calls Heather intelligent and funny and lets her know that she parents her daughters so well as a single mom. Heather thinks that Bronwyn’s trauma has made her remarkable, and she is a “fabulous contribution to the group.” Whitney reminds Lisa she has the best hair and Mary asks Andy to do her.
Andy states, “You showed us your heart this year.” Mary’s openness and compassion were evident this season. Over some Miller High Life beers, Heather leads a toast to the women who have changed her life (minus Britani, offstage) in the best possible way -cheers!
