Brit Mentions Her Gun During Fight With Kenya

Brit is doing the MOST on this episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She spirals after Kenya calls her a peasant and Brit threatens that she still has her pistol.  What exactly made Brit get to this place?  Angela certainly never intended to have her private dinner in Bankhead turn ugly.  In fact, Shamea has high hopes to make good with Angela after their explosive argument…

Brit explains that she does not have a lot of girlfriends (you don’t say?) and so she is looking forward to forging a friendship with Angela.  She brings along her dog, Mimosa, who has her very own stroller, and they mosey around a park for a bit, pretending to exercise.  They chat about the importance of family and Angela opens up about the rift between Charles and her mother.  Despite Angela taking care of her mom and sister financially, things are still not getting better.

Brit can relate to this familial strife.  Losing her dad broke the relationship she had with her sisters.  The sisters do not appreciate when Mike, Brit’s husband, tries to act like their daddy.

On a different note, Angela is looking forward to getting the girls together for her event at The Bank.  She has even invited Shamea, even though the last time they got together, things got ugly fast.  Speaking of getting ugly, Brit is still not over Kenya’s “snooty” attitude towards her.  Evidently, Brit can throw jabs and it is funny, but when Kenya does it, Brit feels like she needs to keep her guard up.  Touché to production for zooming in on the “Watch Out For Snakes” sign- nice touch.

We learn about Shamea’s seasoned musical career, but now she is excited to debut her new song- a chance for her to finally get her shot.  She plays the single for her sister and talks about how she left things with Angela.

Shamea is actually surprised to have gotten an invite to The Bank, considering she was a “smooth criminal,” slinging those comments at Angela about her nose.  Shamea muses, “How the hell am I gonna moonwalk my way out of this?” She is quite punny.

Porsha is ready to focus on Pampered by Porsha and expand to home décor. She is trying to push her brands so she can build a billion-dollar company.  When it comes to GoNaked, Porsha wants some serious ambassadors to represent.  She is baffled when she learns that Drew reached out to one of her managers regarding music with Dennis and she continues to put her foot down when it comes to Drew filming with Dennis.  Porsha is annoyed with Drew for many reasons, including how she did not handle parts of her GoNaked contract…but don’t worry, corporate (aka Porsha) will handle it.

There is a very staged scene with Drew and her soon-to-be-ex Ralph.  She admits that they are better as co-parents and they try to keep it “cute” for the kids.  Ralph, and his missing shirt, explains in his confessional that he just wants 50/50 custody.  The articles about the impending divorce are swirling, and so are the ones stating Ralph is a narcissist.

It would be cool if Drew actually knew what the word narcissist means and, after she googles the answer, confirms that he fits the bill.  Ralph refers to the basement as his penthouse and Drew claims she is not trying to destroy him.

Kenya hosts Kelli at her new spa.  Kelli shares some business advice to Kenya and it’s nice to chat, girl boss to girl boss.  Kenya’s nervous about the future of the spa considering she blew her daughter’s college education on building the business. Kelli cheers her on and we learn just how resilient Kelli is.

Kelli has a bodyguard because of her ex.  She has a restraining order based on the threats that he made in court.  He threatened to kill her and so she is taking all precaution to be safe. Kelli’s ex wants the business since they started it together and he has been trying to “Color Purple” Kelli ever since.

Brit and her estranged sister Cher meet up.  Things are a bit awkward between them and we learn that Cher is an angry blocker, meaning when she gets upset, she cuts off communication.  Cher explains that once Brit got engaged, she felt like she lost her sister since Mike is always there.  Brit tries to console her sister, but it’s almost impossible to believe anything she is saying since Mike is blowing up her phone the whole time.

Drew is in the studio with Dennis, Porsha’s ex-fiancé. Drew explains that “Dennis is an intricate part of my album.”  I’m just over here wondering how hot-dog-Dennis suddenly got all this hook up in the music industry? According to Drew, Dennis filming with Drew has only become an issue with Porsha NOW and Drew feels like Porsha is being dramatic.  Drew asks Dennis to “bridge the gap,” but knows that they will have to talk about this on Porsha’s time.  Until then, they will remain on ice.

As they prep for Angela’s dinner, Porsha explains that she will not be talking to Drew this evening, as it needs to be a one on one kind of discussion. Anyhow, Angela is not looking for any drama.  She wants her “black excellence” themed night to be drama free.  This bank vault may be in a rough part of town, but Angela wants everyone in “black chic” attire.  Too bad Kenya did not get the memo, rolling up in her teal Versace…

Kenya “pats” Brit hello, and naturally, this sets Brit off.  But more on that later… Shamea arrives with an olive branch in some olive oil and presents her gift to Angela, along with an apology.  She is thrilled that Angela wants to start over with her and it looks like the nose jokes are history.  But once one issue gets resolved, more pop up.

Kelli calls Drew out for not buying something at her Balmain event.  Drew may be trying to show receipts on her phone (love when a Dennis text pops up as if on cue), but Kelli is waiting for that transaction to go through.  #DoBetter.

Porsha throws some shade Shamea’s way.  When Shamea debuts her new song with the group, Porsha swears it is not Shamea singing.  It’s a little alarming that Porsha does not know her best friend’s voice…and also alarming that everyone is cheering, but Porsha.

Angela whips out a game (because they ALWAYS end well for Housewives).  It is a chance for the women to write down anonymous questions for anyone in the group.  For instance- Shamea, what did you do to thank your husband for getting you that Rolls Royce?  Angela, what is a secret you wouldn’t want the world to know?

Porsha mumbles she knows some tea about Charles, but refuses to share, despite being the group trying to shake her down for answers. Interesting that Porsha would not speak about her own marriage, but has no problem mentioning someone else’s husband.

When the Kenya questions start coming, things take a turn.  Brit asks (claiming SHE did not write the question) – “To Kenya, can you speak to Brit kindly and not with an attitude?” Clearly Brit wants a moment, but Kenya sees right through this.  She tries to diffuse Brit’s hostility stating, “Peasants cannot come for a queen,” but Brit gets even more heated. She is overreacting about a whole lot of nothing.

Brit begins yelling about her husband coming to get her, stating she had to “let that b*tch [Kenya] know.”  She goes on to shout she has “whips, f*cking pistols” and everyone is wondering just what got Brit to this point.  Kenya remains cool and calm as they leave Angela’s event, but Brit is off her rails.  She wants Kenya to be respectful and not play in front of the cameras.

As they pull out of the lot in the car, on audio only, Kenya tells the group that Brit mentioned her pistol and states, “She’s gotta go for real.” Excuse me, but why would Brit be threatening Kenya with a pistol over THIS? You know it’s bad when every person on this cast feels like Brit is doing too much…
