ABC’s The Good Doctor will be coming to an end with the upcoming seventh season, and a new trailer has been released promoting the final season of the medical drama starring and executive produced by Freddie Highmore.
This is one of those shows that started out strong, but as it went on, the way the story played out became less and less interesting. That being said, it’s probably good that the series is coming to an end.

The series centers on an autistic young doctor named Shaun Murphy, who is played by Highmore. He said in a statement: “Playing Dr. Shaun Murphy has been an immense privilege and one of the most remarkable and rewarding experiences of my life. I will always be grateful to David, Liz, and Erin as well as the hugely talented – and lovely – cast, writers, and crew who made this show possible. Caring deeply is what got us here. Thank you to Sony and ABC, and to everyone who has watched along at home. With love from Vancouver… tequila, stat!”
Producers Erin Gunn, Liz Friedman, and David Shore added: “The Good Doctor has been a once in a lifetime opportunity, but it’s time to say goodbye. The Good Doctor revolves around the life and career of Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgical resident with autism and savant syndrome. The show follows Shaun as he navigates the challenges of working at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital, where he must prove himself to skeptical colleagues and supervisors. Despite his social and communication difficulties, Shaun possesses exceptional medical skills and a unique perspective that often leads to innovative solutions to complex medical cases.
