Tent sale at JK Adams
JK Adams (1430 Route 30, Dorset) will host their semi-annual Tent Sale from Friday through Monday with thousands of serving and cutting boards, factory seconds, overstocks, and more.
Scenic lift rides at Stratton
Scenic lift rides are back at Stratton Mountain Resort (5 Village Lodge Rd., Stratton) starting on Friday. The Gondola will be spinning from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday in celebration of the long weekend. ‘Company’ at the Dorset Playhouse

A birthday celebration

The Rutland Area NAACP will host a BIPOC Youth Hair Clinic at the Bennington Multicultural Center (120 Union St., Bennington) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. West River Farmers Market
The market opens for the season from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the junction of Route 11 and Route 100 in Londonderry, and will return each weekend until Columbus Day. The West River Farmers Market hosts more than 40 vendors selling everything from vegetables, eggs, plants, meats to ceramics, honey and jewelry.

Free concert at Stratton
Stratton Mountain Resort will host a free concert on Saturday night featuring “Soulist” Garland Nelson. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. and doors open at 6 p.m., rain or shine. Family activities including the outdoor climbing wall, a face painter, balloon artists and kid’s crafts will also be available.

Doggie and Me 5K
Stratton Mountain Resort will host a family-friendly 5K beginning in the courtyard, looping around the resort, and concluding back in the Village. The first 150 participants and their dogs to register will get a t-shirt, and a portion of proceeds will be donated to Windham County Humane Society. BIPOC Youth Fashion Show
The Rutland Area NAACP will host the “Rock Your Crown” BIPOC Youth Fashion Show from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at Bennington’s Merchants Park (117 Pleasant St, Bennington). Memorial Day parade in Arlington
The Arlington Lions Club will host a Memorial Day parade and ceremony at 11 a.m. on Monday with the theme “We Remember.” The route begins at Arlington Recreation Park (Recreation Park Rd, Arlington).
Memorial Day parade in Bennington
A parade sponsored by the American Legion Post #13 will begin at 12 p.m. beginning at the Benn High building on East Main Street in Bennington, and will proceed west on Main Street to Four Corners, and then turn right on North Street. The parade will pause at the VFW building for a salute, and then continue up North Street to the Veterans Home for another salute and wreath laying ceremony.
Memorial Day service and celebration at the Dorset Church
The community is invited to attend the Dorset Memorial Day Service and Parade on Monday, May 26. The service will begin at 1 p.m. at the church (143 Church St, Dorset). The BBQ’ers will be singing and at the end of the service the parade will march to the Maple Hill Cemetery and then return to the Dorset Green for the lowering of the flag. A community picnic will be held at the Dorset Church after the event with hotdogs, lemonade and watermelon.
Live music in Manchester
The Miles Band will perform at The Copper Grouse (3835 Main Street, Manchester) at 5 p.m. on Monday, featuring original songs alongside an eclectic list including artists like James Taylor, Jethro Tull, John Mayer, Van Morrison and more.
