Final Fantasy Tactics fans will be pleased to hear that Final Fantasy director Naoki Yoshida is up for creating a new game in the classic series, if the opportunity presents itself. The news was shared in an interview with The Gamer in which Yoshi-P said that he’s a huge fan of the series and thinks the time is right for the franchise to be revisited. Whether or not it actually does depends on the teams busy schedule, but it’s good to hear that it’s one title on the wishlist.
“We have a lot of our staff who worked on previous games like Final Fantasy Tactics or Final Fantasy 12, so you’re going to have a lot of that [Tactics] feel because a lot of the same people are on the team.”
He adds that he’s “very happy” to hear another Tactics game suggested, because the team are fans of the games themselves. “We love Tactics as well. It’s probably about time that we do a new one.”
