Why Fans Aren’t Happy With Jaguar’s New Logo

Jaguar‘s new logo has stirred conversations on the internet as individuals continue to express their disappointment with the redesign. The British company recently ditched its silver roaring big cat logo and went for a seemingly more minimalistic look instead. However, the rebranding didn’t seem to impress people but rather confused them. Since then, many have become curious to know why the British automobile brand opted for this new logo, instead of revamping the old.

Jaguar’s new logo upsets the fans

Jaguar will be heading into the new year with a focus on its recently announced all-electric future. Ahead of employing its big plans, the brand has given itself an ultimate makeover with a new logo. On November 19, it disclosed that it has scrapped the silver feline logo and will now proceed with a modernistic golden worded logo. The current logo has captured people’s attention with its rounded font style, a mix of capital and small letters, exhibiting visual harmony.

Apart from this, the brand also released a distinct teaser with a new tagline of “Copy nothing.” Interestingly, the teaser features multiple models sporting vibrant outfits and originality quotes keep popping up on the screen. Many fans also pointed out that the teaser had no visual of a car despite the ad being of a premium automobile brand.

Sadly, the rebranding changes haven’t sat well with fans as they believe that the brand should have revamped its old silver logo. Its ad got called out on social media for being way too artistic for an automobile brand and focusing more on rebranding than the product. Some also believed that the logo lacked creativity due to its similar font to some other brands.

Check out some of the fans’ reactions here:

Jaguar’s Chief Creative Officer Professor Gerry McGovern OBE addressed this change recently, citing, “This is a reimagining that recaptures the essence of Jaguar, returning it to the values that once made it so loved, but making it relevant for a contemporary audience. We are creating Jaguar for the future, restoring its status as a brand that enriches the lives of our clients and the Jaguar community.”

Notably, the car manufacturers’ first e-vehicle is expected to hit the market in 2026.
