What to Watch: Ginny & Georgia, MobLand Finale, Resident Alien

MobLand has broken through in a big way for Paramount+, but will the series be able to stick the landing?

That’s one of the bigger questions as the TV Fanatic staff assembles to give their picks for what to watch during the coming week.

Ginny & Georgia makes its triumphant return for its third season later in the week, while Resident Alien, which had a brush with cancellation, touches down on cable.

Check out what to watch this week.

Sunday, June 1

MobLand (Paramount+)

It has all been building to this.

In the Season 1 finale of MobLand, everyone makes the moves they’ve been planning throughout the season.

Kevin takes care of a problem. Tattersall delivers on a promise as Richie prepares for war. Seraphina, reading the room, agrees to a meet-and-greet. Maeve spills the tea. Jan gets Harry’s attention.

With so many pieces in play, what will the outcome be?

Monday, June 2

American Ninja Warrior (NBC)

NBC’s reality slate is in full effect, but of course, it finally feels official with the premiere of American Ninja Warrior.

The first round kicks off in Vegas, because is there anywhere else more fitting?

And this season teases the return of fan-favorites, record-holders, and trailblazers as the 17th season promises to be bigger and better than ever!

Tuesday, June 3

Love Island USA (Peacock)

It’s finally starting to feel like summer (depending on where you’re located), and summertime means it’s Love Island season!

The USA import will welcome in new islanders this week, and if you’re heavy on social media, it’ll be hard to escape the discourse for the next few weeks as islanders come and go, hearts are broken, and viral moments are made.

We’re very excited about a brand new season over here, as Love Island at its best is one of the best reality shows on television.

The Cleaning Lady (FOX)

Did Jorge really betray our girl Thony?

They left us with a cliffhanger as the law cuffed Thony moments after she finally told Jorge that she returned his feelings and wanted to be a real family. But The Cleaning Lady will never just let this ‘ship thrive without complications (like, annoying French doc floor sex).

This arrest places Thony directly in Ramona’s clutches, meaning things are about to get real in that prison. But again, we’re really worried about the state of that love triangle!

The two-hour season finale is bound to keep us on the edge of our seats!

Wednesday, June 4

Nine Perfect Strangers (Hulu)

Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 explores different guests’ backstories each week, and it’s finally time to examine Tina and Wolfie’s relationship.

When there is an elaborate party in the Zauberwald ballroom, Tina feels undue pressure from all the music.

We’re eager to learn more about the secrets Tina has been hiding and see if their relationship can survive, since Wolfie seems resentful that Tina ended her career so abruptly

Thursday, June 5

Ginny & Georgia (Netflix)

Everyone’s favorite mother and daughter return as the most dramatic season of Ginny & Georgia returns.

Paul’s loyalty is tested as Georgia’s murder trial heats up. Soon, Ginny and Austin may be the only ones who believe in their mother.

Small-town gossip is deadly as it spreads, and Georgia’s past comes back to haunt her.

You won’t want to miss any drama or the insane humor as Ginny, Georgia, and company weather it together.

NBA Finals Game 1 (ABC)

We may not know what two teams will face off against each other in the NBA finals this year, but any diehard basketball fan will be tuning in regardless because you can’t miss the finals!

The NBA has a long season that starts in the fall and bleeds all the way into the early days of summer, and this final stretch of games is the punctuation point.

And even if your team is no longer in it, much like the Super Bowl, any basketball fan will check in to see the best of the best go at it in primetime.

We’ll be checking it out, will you?

Friday, June 6

11/10c Resident Alien (Syfy/USA)

It’s a dismal time slot, but the formerly Syfy-only series is airing on both Syfy and USA this season. So, that’s… good? Budget cuts can’t keep this fan-favorite down!

Resident Alien is, by all accounts, a cult classic in the making, and Season 4 finds star Alan Tudyk doing even more to keep us entertained. After all, Harry is stuck in an alien jail on the moon while a different alien has stolen his skin on Earth. Gasp!

Tune in to find out how Asta, D’arcy, and Kate are managing after their daring escape, whether Sheriff Mike will ever embrace aliens, and how Deputy Liv is faring with her shocking secret. And will Harry return to Earth? We have no doubt.

Be sure to let us know what you’re watching this week.

We can’t wait to hear from you!
