The modern C-drama Will Love in Spring released episode 5 on April 24, 2024. It features Li Xian and Zhou Yutong in the lead roles. The episode focuses on Zhuang Jie’s (Zhou Yutong) family trying to cope with the pain of losing Mr. He. Mrs. Zhuang wants her children to resume living their lives. She advises them not to listen to those who bully them or call them jinx. Although Zhuang Jie’s brother offers to quit school and help the family financially, both Zhuang Jie and her mother shut him up.
For her children’s sake, Mrs. Zhuang pretends to be strong. But she finds the house alarmingly quiet due to her husband’s absence. She asks Zhuang Jie to go back to the city and not to worry about her. Zhuang Jie scolds her mother and tells her she does not need to be stubborn. She tells her that no matter how many times her mother pushes her away, she will always come back for her family.
The next day, at the company meeting, Zhuang Jie engages in a heated discussion with a newcomer salesperson, who expresses her desire to take Zhuang Jie’s place in her absence. Zhuang Jie advises her not to haste and tells her that one can not reach the top position with luck alone. It angers her even more when the new girl asks her not to overthink.

On her way out of the office, Zhuang Jie receives a phone call from her panic-stricken mother. She comes to know that her sister has been missing from the house. Zhuang Jie remembers how much her sister adored her father and probably could not handle the pain of losing him.
Zhuang Jie looks for her sister everywhere but can not find any trace of her. Tired, she goes back to her apartment. To her surprise, Mai Dong knocks at her door, accompanied by Zhuang Jie’s sister, Niaoniao. Mai Dong mentions that he encountered her on the train. Zhuang Jie gets extremely angry and starts to scold Niaoniao.
After she calms down, they sit down for a meal together. When asked what made her run away from home, Niaoniao says that she still feels her father’s presence at home and feels that he wants to take her with him. She is not ready to listen to any explanation.
While Zhuang Jie thinks she is spitting nonsense, Mai Dong intervenes and takes matters into his own hands. He simplifies the whole concept of life and death for Niaoniao and tells her that her father is at peace now. After Niaoniao goes to bed, Zhuang Jie thanks Mai Dong. He asks her to be patient with her sister, as she is still grieving.
Slowly, life starts to get back on track for the Zhuang family. As a closure, they take Mr. He’s ashes to the mountains and bid their final goodbyes. The whole family comes together to scatter his ashes and help him rest in peace.
