Talks about The Real Housewives of Atlanta getting the same reboot treatment as RHONY has been ongoing for some time now.
In fact, the reboot rumors predate the RHONY reboot. Over the last few months, RHOA cast members such as Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore have weighed in on the idea of a brand-new cast. Now, it seems we might have the first pieces of concrete evidence that casting decisions are being made. Drew Sidora and Sanya Richards-Ross may have dropped hints about their future.
Over the weekend, a few notable RHOA cast members updated their Instagram bios to remove RHOA. As history shows, this is typically a surefire sign that a Housewife has either been fired or has decided to step down. This comes after several months of uncertainty about what season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta might hold, or even when they might start filming.
According to Everything Housewives on Instagram, Bravo and the production company are in the process of setting contracts in stone.
Perhaps Drew and Sanya are the first casualties. Over the weekend, both RHOA stars removed the show from their respective Instagram bios.

This is a bit controversial for a few reasons. First, Drew had one of the most explosive storylines last season on RHOA because of the divorce drama with Ralph. It could be weird to not finish that story after it has been such a large part of the show for two years. As for Sanya, she’s not a fan favorite, but she is expecting another child. Typically, the show loves documenting the birth and early stages of the RHOA kids. However, most fans don’t feel that Sanya fits with the cast.
The latest is that Sanya has added RHOA back to her Instagram bio. It’s unclear what changed, but some fans believe someone from Bravo may have asked her to add it back so as to not make any headlines.
Of course, if the rumors are true that the network is just starting to set contracts, we may see more RHOA cast members remove the show from their Instagrams. However, if nothing else changes, fans will see Kandi, Kenya, Sheree, and Marlo return for season 16. Despite this, many viewers want more change with Marlo and maybe even Sheree no longer being peach holders next season.
Viewers should be aware that there is also a strong chance season 16 of RHOA will feature a couple of new faces. New faces, or even old ones, would spice things up and renew interest in the show while keeping fan favorites Kenya and Kandi. As far as new faces go, some people have called for Quad from Married to Medicine to join because she could be a worthy opponent to Kenya. Of course, there are also calls for Porsha to return to RHOA.
So, does this mean the RHOA cameras might go up again soon? Fans are hoping so, and this would mean that season 16 of RHOA could premiere around the same time as season 15 did earlier this year. Fans really want to see The Real Housewives of Atlanta return to its former glory.
