Skies will become partly cloudy and mostly clear with light winds, leading to a cool start to the weekend. Temperatures will drop to the 40s and 50s by sunrise across most of the state and then warm up to just the 60s and 70s in the afternoon. Although Saturday will be mostly dry with cloudy skies, a few showers could show up in the afternoon and evening along the southern border. More rain is expected on Sunday with showers and storms likely for early next week.
Unique competition helps utility workers stay safe in the field
Linework is ranked among the most dangerous jobs in the country. The linemen rodeo is a competition where workers compete in events based on task and skill. Tony Hurlocker is the first lineworker in Concord Electric Systems’ history to qualify and compete in the national competition. Read more >>>
