US: Switch lifetime unit sales trail PS2 by 1.41 million as of May
The sun is setting on the life of the Nintendo Switch. Nevertheless, Nintendo‘s hybrid console is still selling rather well. Even as speculation on the Switch’s successor has continued to increase in intensity and the rumor mill continues to churn, it’s looking all but inevitable now that the Switch is going to surpass the sales of the PlayStation 2.
Mat Piscatella, analyst for Circana, which was formerly The NPD Group, confirmed on Twitter not that long ago that the Nintendo Switch was trailing PlayStation 2 says in the United States by 1,410,000 units as of May 4th, 2024. Almost 2 months have passed since then, so it is highly likely that the Switch has managed to pull off another major milestone. You can see Piscatella’s tweet down below.
