Triple M host Natarsha Belling announces shock exit just six weeks after Triple M Breakfast with Beau, Tarsh & Woodsy launches

Triple M host Natarsha Belling has shocked followers with the news she is stepping down from her new breakfast show just six weeks after it launched.

Belling took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the news that she would be leaving Triple M Breakfast with Beau, Tarsh & Woodsy, the show she co-hosts with Beau Ryan and Aaron Wood, in favour of a new role she’d been offered.

“Thrilled to announce I’ve been offered an amazing new opportunity to join the team @thebriefingpodcast for the Afternoon edition,” she wrote on Instagram.

“We are living in one of the most dynamic news cycles in history, from cost of living to Donald Trump to Chinese warships off our coast.”

Belling shared that the new role aligns with her passions for journalism and the “exciting new frontier of the podcast world”.

Noting she would “unfortunately” be leaving her role with Triple M, Belling wished her team “all the very best for the future” and thanked listeners for their support.

The news comes one week after Marty Sheargold was axed from the station due to his controversial comments regarding the Matildas and two weeks after Luke Bona announced popular show The Night Shift would be ending.

Fans of The Night Shift became concerned when, on the Wednesday prior to the announcement, a post on the official Facebook page for the show said it would not be going ahead that evening.

Hours later, Bona and Denham confirmed the worst – the aural companion to those on the graveyard shift would be going silent forever when their program wrapped up at 5AM on Friday.

“It’s with a heavy heart that we share The Night Shift will be coming to a close this week, but management have graciously given us the chance for one last hurrah,” Bona and Denham wrote on Facebook on the Thursday afternoon.

“For the last time from midnight ’til sparrow’s fart across seventy-something transmitters, we will do our best to entertain and keep you company.

“If you’re a member of the family, we would love to hear from you so we get the chance to say farewell,” they wrote.

“Let’s give ’em something to talk about.”
