Lightfold is a recently launched animation studio based in Atlanta, and they’ve revealed the first trailer for their debut series project titled Godspeed. This is a sci-fi series that will take audiences on a wild space adventure, and it looks like a cool and interesting project.
Godspeed follows the journey of “Iris (Bryce Charles) and her adorable karaoke-bot sidekick named Bowie as they navigate the desolate landscape and abandoned homes of their crumbling world. Her path takes an unexpected turn when they stumble upon a mysterious broadcast that holds the key to their escape. To get the message, she must survive a planet-ending storm.”
The series was created by Olan Rogers (Final Space) and the voice cast includes Troy Baker (The Last of Us), Claudia Black (Farscape, The Nevers), Coty Galloway, and Olan Rogers.
The series was made on a small budget, but it looks like it has the potential to be good. The project was funded through Kickstarter backers and Godspeed will debut streaming on December 15th, 2023 this month on the website and YouTube.
