Today’s Connections Hints & Answers For April 7, 2024 (Puzzle #300)

The Sunday Connections always seem to be the most difficult, but we’re not so sure that holds up for today’s categories. We had a fairly quick win on today’s game and even solved it in the game’s most straightforward to trickest order.

If you are having a bit of trouble with today’s words though one of the best tricks to try is utilizing the shuffle button. Oftentimes, the game will set words together that are meant to trick your brain into thinking there is a connection that isn’t there. Shuffling the words right away is a great way to avoid those forced inaccuracies.

FLASH

JIFF

HEARTBEAT

WINK

First off, no one says WINK when referring to a short period of time. “Dinner will be ready in a WINK.” That’s not a thing, but we’ll forgive that indiscretion since we still scored a win in this category. FLASH and JIFF were the first words we noticed, and we did waste an attempt trying to fit in ZIP. In the end though, it was a victory and we moved on to the next.

DISPUTE

CLASH

SCRAP

TANGLE

TIFF

We’ve been in a few SCRAPs before in life, so this was another quick score for us. TANGLE and CLASH started the train with this but we did waste another attempt by trying the word SQUAT. Please don’t ask us why, it clearly doesn’t fit but we went for it anyway, we’re not perfect over here.

ZIP

So many fun words in today’s game. SQUAT and ZIP were the starting points for us in the blue category and it did take a bit to see how LOVE fit in. Eventually, we saw the tennis connection and it all made sense. You know, JACK LOVE SQUAT ZIP sort of sounds like a weird Dr. Suess book.

TOP HAT

Is Mr. Peanut still a thing? I thought they had killed him and rebirthed Baby Nut, which was just the worst idea. In the era of Grogu though, anything is possible. Also, what is a SPAT? I Googled it and I still don’t know, I thought it was when you fight with someone. Was Mr. Peanut and Kool-Aid Man in a skirmish? Luckily, all these words were the leftover ones for us so it was a guaranteed win even if we didn’t understand it.
