April 21 has a brand new collection of Connections to solve and some players may get a quick win with these category choices. Knowing a little about a lot of things is a great way to score wins in this particular word-matching game. Knowing different niche topics and hobbies can make the difference between a struggling loss, and a victorious win.
Another great tip for playing a game of Connections is to slow down. There is no timer in this game and you shouldn’t rush through. Every time you’ve found four words you think match, take a second and see if you can solve what the category would be. Just taking those few extra seconds before clicking submit could save you a few wasted attempts.

The yellow category was our second score for the day today and came fairly easy. We can certainly admit that we stared at CYMBAL and SYMBOL for way too long before letting that go and moving on to the correct connection. EXAMPLE and MODEL were the first two words that caught our eye and the others eventually came to fruition.

We scored the green category first today as model trains are the coolest. The category doesn’t necessarily mention model trains, but that’s what we think of when we think of trains. CONDUCTOR and TRACK were the starting points with STATION quickly behind. SYMPHONY and CONDUCTOR had a bit of a connection but there was nothing else that fit too well to continue on with that process.

This was our third win for the day and we must admit, it was a complete guess. When we saw the eight leftover words we were flabbergasted. Staring at DRUM, and SIMMER, and WIG, we had no idea where to go. It was literally a “well, these kinda sound the same” guess that paid off, and that’s just fine with us. It reminds us of something our father used to say, “If you can’t win, smash buttons until it works.” He was never very helpful.

The leftover words for the day make total sense and we’re ashamed we didn’t see the Connections. Perhaps if the word BISCUITS was a choice, we Mythical Beasts would have scored this one much easier.
