25 years ago, the Pokemon franchise would officially make its debut in the United States with the release of Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Red on Nintendo‘s Game Boy handheld. So, TIME magazine is celebrating the occasion with a special edition issue that is featuring Pokemon.
There are 4 different variant covers available. 3 of them feature the original starters, and 1 of them features Pikachu. Regardless of which cover you end up getting, all of them have the same contents inside. It includes a piece detailing the franchise’s history. The issues will be available until May.
