Born and raised in Australia, Liam Hemsworth, 33, had already starred in Nicholas Sparks’ The Last Song alongside his now ex-wife Miley Cryus before he landed The Hunger Games.
Since playing Gale in the franchise, the Aussie star has continued to make splashes on the big screen.
In 2015, Liam starred alongside Kate Winslet in The Dressmaker.
He has also starred in Hollywood films such as Isn’t It Romantic opposite fellow Aussie Rebel Wilson, as well as Land of Bad earlier this year with Russell Crowe.
Liam’s brother Chris Hemsworth is another A-lister known for his performance as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In an interview with Geektyrant, Chris revealed that he actually helped his brother land his Hunger Games roles after beating Liam out for Thor.
According to Chris, he ran lines with Liam to prepare for his audition.
“Swear to God. I read that. Put my girly American accent on,” the Thor star shared.
