Peacock has launched the complete trailer for the upcoming collection The Greatest Man: The Remaining Chapters, which is able to premiere all eight hour-long episodes on Thursday, Dec. 22. The sequel present finds unapologetic bachelor Quentin (performed by Terrence Howard) gearing as much as lastly tie the knot. Plus, it seems like Harper (Taye Diggs) is seeing his guide Unfinished Enterprise get tailored into a movie. Keep in mind all of the drama it precipitated when it was first revealed? The Remaining Chapters guarantees to catch followers up with the beloved buddy group as “relationships evolve and previous grievances resurface within the unpredictable levels of midlife disaster meets midlife renaissance,” per the official synopsis.
The collection stars Diggs, Howard, Morris Chestnut, Melissa De Sousa, Regina Corridor, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Lengthy and Harold Perrineau.
“Once I wrote The Greatest Man, it was out of a need to see myself on display. Rising up I not often noticed Black folks — Black males specifically — the way in which my associates and I noticed ourselves: educated, upwardly cellular African-People who had been simply ‘regular’ (Barack and Michelle earlier than Barack and Michelle),” collection creator and co-showrunner Malcom D. Lee beforehand stated in a press release. “It has all the time been my mission to make African-American tales mainstream. It’s my life’s work to inform tales that embrace and elevate us. And I hope my legacy can be that I represented for us.”
Co-showrunner Dayna Lynne North famous that the collection will “increase on the themes established in The Greatest Man franchise — love, friendship, religion, forgiveness, and private development — all filtered by way of a fantastically Black lens.”
