Taylor Swift VIP Package: Everything to know about what’s included in the VIP package

Taylor Swift is bringing her Eras Tour Down Under in just a matter of weeks. But for VIP fans, the excitement has already kicked off.

For those who not only survived the great ticket war but were lucky enough to secure VIP deals, the packages have already started to arrive on fan’s doorsteps.

TikTok has been filled with VIP package unboxings as fans show off their deluxe gifts.

But what is actually included in the all exclusive box and how much did it cost to secure the highly sought after package?

Here’s everything you need to know about the Taylor Swift VIP package, including its re-sale value and and the one tiny detail that has left Australian fans outraged.

What is included in the Taylor Swift VIP package?

On top of stellar positioned seats, the Australian VIP package includes exclusive merchandise all contained within a box covered with the Eras Tour poster print.

All the VIP package options contain the same merch, the only difference in price depending on the reserve seating.

Inside the box, fans will be treated to a ‘special’ set of four different prints with the superstar’s Eras Tour graphic on them.

As for the ‘exclusive’ merchandise, VIP ticketholders will take home a special canvas tote bag with a black and white Eras Tour poster on one side and “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour” written in block caps on the other.

The VIP package also includes a pin, sticker and postcard set, and a tour laminate with a matching Eras Tour lanyard.

But the last item in the box is one that has left Aussie fans upset over one tiny detail.

The VIP box comes with a special souvenir concert ticket that is a reflective design with the time and seat number both showing as Swift’s well-known lucky number, 13.

While the general ticket has the venue as ‘your favourite city’, it is the date on the ticket that has Aussie fans scratching their heads.

The year on the Australian VIP ticket reads as 2023, despite the songstress’ tour not making its way Down Under next month in 2024.

“Taylor Swift’s Aussie tour VIP tickets goofed up – they say 2023 instead of 2024,” someone Tweeted.

The tickets appear to reflect the US leg and South American leg tour dates from 2023 as the merch box contains the same items as the US VIP package.

“I paid a lot of money for my VIP seats and box. It sucked that we didn’t get a city specific poster but it gets worse. We just get shoved with 2023’s leftover keepsake tickets,” one outraged fan wrote.

“Excited for Taylor Swift’s Aussie tour in 2024 despite the VIP ticket date mix-up,” another admitted.

How much does the VIP package cost?

While all VIP ticketholders will walk away with the same exclusive merch collection, some have spent a bit more to secure that top tier status.

The price of the package varies depending on what tier your seat is in.

The most affordable VIP deal is the We Never Go Out Of Style Package, valued at $349.90 for an E reserve seat.

The It’s A Love Story Package gets fans a slightly closer D reserve seat for $399.90, while the Ready For It Package upgrades your ticket to B reserve for $599.90.

To get an A reserve seat in the stands, plus exclusive merch, fans were able to purchase the I Remember It All Too Well Package for $749.90.

The next step up is an A reserve floor seat for $899.90 as part of the Karma Is My Boyfriend Package.

Finally, the most expensive VIP package deal Aussie fans could grab in the great Ticketek war was the It’s Been A Long Time Coming Package for a staggering $1249.90.

How much is the re-sale value?

For many who bought the VIP packages, the ticket was enough to justify the pricy cost. But for a seat valued up to $1249.90, how much is the collectable box on its own worth?

Many fans are already reselling the VIP box online, with pricing ranging in the hundreds.

One VIP ticketholder has listed their band new unopened merch box from the Australian Eras Tour leg for a highest price of $525 on eBay.

Some fans on eBay have grouped their merch box in with other Taylor Swift products to increase the value and novelty.

One person has listed their VIP box to be sold with the official cup and popcorn bucket sold as part of The Eras Tour movie promotion in Hoyts cinemas for $300.

But with so many Eras Tour boxes listed on resale sites, the more exclusive, and thus expensive VIP merch packages, are from the singer’s previous Reputation tour in 2017.

For a VIP merch box from Swift’s Reputation Stadium Tour, fans are valuing the package as in the late hundreds, with prices as high as a thousand Australian dollars.

One fan in the United States is selling their VIP box set on eBay for a whopping $AU $1,024.19, excluding shipping costs.

Are there any additional perks for Taylor Swift’s VIP packages?

According to US fans on Reddit, the Taylor Swift VIP package reportedly comes with early entry to the venue before the rest of the crowds.

The purpose of the early entry is to give VIP ticketholders the chance to purchase merch from the stadium before other fans.

The early entry deal will likely be the same for Australian fans.

“You have early access to your venue for being VIP (for my show we could enter at 3:30 and get merch early)” one fan revealed on the forum.

“If you bought one of the top 2 vip packages (Karma is my Boyfriend, or It’s a Long Time Coming), you also get early entrance and no line merch opportunities. You will get that regardless of whether or not you get your package in time,” another shared.

“I also entered through a special line that was significantly shorter than general admission, but everything else (except my seat) was the same as general admission,” a third said.

In terms of any other perks, the VIP tickets are essentially the same and do not include a meet and greet with Taylor Swift. S

Swift does not tend to do paid meet and greets at her concerts. In the past she has had her team, and her mum, choose dedicated fans from the crowd to meet her backstage after the show.

For her previous tour this was called the Rep Room. However the star doesn’t seem to have revived this for her current tour.

Can you get Taylor Swift VIP merch without tickets?

Apart from buying the Taylor Swift VIP merch box on resale sites such as eBay or Depop, the exclusive items do not seem to be on sale first hand on Swift’s site.

While the specific items seem to only be available with The Eras Tour VIP ticket package, there is still other concert merch on offer for fans to buy.

Fans with regular tickets to the Australian shows can buy from the merch stands inside and outside the stadiums.

While we haven’t gotten a look at any of the merchandise which will be on sale for the Australian leg, it’s safe to assume it will be the same offering as the other tour legs.

For those who missed out on tickets altogether, Taylor Swift’s official website has merch available on the store.
