Stephanie Rice has announced her engagement on social media.
The former Olympic swimmer, 36, shared photos of the moment her boyfriend of seven months, Mark Lassey, popped the question at Atlantis The Royal, in Dubai.
“Here’s to fresh starts and second chances,” Rice said in the caption. “Yes to a lifetime with you.”

The three-time Australian Olympic gold medallist had recently returned to her current home of Dubai, after being part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games coverage with Stan Sport.
Among the carousel of images from the special moment, there were also shots of the diamond sparkler resting on Rice’s manicured hand.
The pair debuted their relationship on social media in July, after five months of keeping their long-distance love under wraps.
Rice met the pastor and father-of-three through a mutual friend.

When sharing their relationship on social media the Olympian admitted that at first, they both didn’t think the other would “be interested” in them.
But it wasn’t long before they forged a close bond.
While their relationship has had its challenges, rice said she was ”grateful” for it and excited about their future together.
“Living halfway across the world from each other in different time zones has had its challenges (thank god for Zoom) but God has been so good and so present in every step of our journey, which gives us an unwavering faith that our future will be even more extraordinary through Him,” Rice wrote.

Lassey similarly gushed about his “smart” and “loyal” girlfriend, when he opened up about their courtship in a social media post.
“She is the most encouraging person,” he said.
“Never cynical, never sarcastic, always thinking the best of people and speaking it out.”
The loved-up couple are yet to announce when or where their nuptials will take place.
