Stassi Schroeder Talks Sending Husband Beau Self-Harm Pics
Stassi Schroeder admitted to sending self-harm pics to Beau Clark and Katie Maloney in her new book.
In her just-released memoir, You Can’t Have It All: The Basic B*tch Guide to Taking the Pressure Off, the 36-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum looked back on dark moments of suicide idealization and addiction to Adderall as she recalled a time when she used the images to get back at her now-husband, Beau, 44, for going out without her.
“I was feral. And then I remember cutting the side of my hip,” she wrote, via Us Weekly. “This is the part that’s the hardest to write and admit. It’s maybe one of the most vile, manipulative, horrible things I’ve ever done. … I sent Beau and Katie Maloney photos of what I had done to myself.”
According to Stassi, it was the “most twisted and cruel” thing she could’ve done to them.
“I’ll live with that guilt forever,” she noted.
At the time the photos were sent, Beau returned home to Stassi and spoke to his mother on the phone for the larger part of their evening.
“We woke up the next morning and he said if that ever happened again, even in the slightest bit, he’d be out of the relationship,” she shared. “That was the last time I ever hurt myself. Beau saved me that day.”
Stassi and Beau started dating in 2017 and got engaged two years later. They then wed in 2020, welcomed daughter Hartford in February 2021, and welcomed son Messer in September 2023.
While promoting her new book in New York City, Stassi made an appearance on Amazon Live, where she responded to a question about whether she’d ever appear on The Valley.
“I love The Valley. I watch every episode. [But] no. Absolutely not,” she confirmed.
She then shared if her former Pump Rules co-stars were mentioned in the memoir.
“I do mention them. They’re not a huge focus — at all,” she revealed. “It’s not that I try to stay away from them because they were a big part of my life for so many years. When they’re relevant to the story I’m telling, they’re mentioned in my book.”
Also on Amazon Live, Stassi addressed a question about the most surprising part of being a parent.
“I think it’s just … there is literally no break for the rest of your life,” she explained. “Even when someone is watching your kids. Even when you’re on vacation away from them, it’s still not a break because you are still thinking about them 24/7. You’re still worrying about them 24/7. There is no end to it. You can’t just not be a mom and not care. That was the biggest surprise.”
“I don’t know why I thought I’d be able to just like, do a staycation with my husband and be like, ‘I’m fine. I’m not thinking about them.’ Nope. And then we talk about them while we’re on our staycation,” she added.
