The Moose Jaw Warriors will be looking to make it five wins in a row this Friday night. They are hosting the Prince Albert Raiders at the Moose Jaw Events Centre with puck drop at 7 p.m. You can catch all of the action on Country 100 with the voice of the Warriors James Gallo.

Brayden Yager, Denton Mateychuk and Jagger Firkus should be back in the Warriors line up in short order after Team Canada was bounced by Czechia from the World Junior Hockey Championships yesterday. The semifinals are set for Thursday at the World Juniors with Sweden taking on Czechia and the United States against Finland.

Meanwhile, the Winmar AAA Warriors return from their Christmas break this weekend. They host the Saskatoon Blazers at the Moose Jaw Events Centre at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The Moose Jaw U15 Mad Greek Thrasher took home silver at the Winnipeg Jet Challenge Cup over the holidays. The tournament was over four days with the Thrashers playing six games. Moose Jaw was undefeated with goalie Bowen McKean earning two shutouts. The Thrashers lost the championship final in double overtime 3-2 to the Gimli Vikings.

And in the NHL last night, seven Canadian teams were in action. The Montreal Canadiens picked up a 4-3 win over the Dallas Stars, the Calgary Flames were 3-1 victors over the Minnesota Wild, the Winnipeg Jets came away with a 4-2 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Edmonton Oilers won 5-2 over the Philadelphia Flyers, the Ottawa Senators dropped a 6-3 decision to the Vancouver Canucks and the Toronto Maple Leafs blanked the Los Angeles Kings 3-0.
