The Moose Jaw Warriors made their 3rd trade in two weeks yesterday, sending goalie Dimitri Fortin to the Prince Albert Raiders for a sixth-round pick in the 2028 WHL Prospects Draft.
The Warriors will board the bus later this week for two games in Alberta – first stop Calgary where they’ll play the Hitmen on Sunday and then it’s off to Lethbridge for a date with the Hurricanes on Tuesday night.
The Winmar AAA Warriors fell to the Blazers in Saskatoon last night, final score 7-3. The Winmar Warriors will be back on home ice this weekend with two games against the Battleford Stars at the Moose Jaw Events Centre – Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
In Cash League Curling, Fountain Tire remains at the top with a 7-1 record, beating Leeville Construction 10-2 last night. BTN beat M & T Feedlot 8-1, it was KMS over RK Sunview 8-1, and EMJ Marketing beat HK Henderson 9-1.
NHL last night, the Canadiens beat the Blue Jackets 4-3 in overtime, the Red Wings extinguished the Flames with a 2-1 overtime win, the Maple Leafs fell 5-1 against the Panthers, Canucks lost in a 5-4 game to the Penguins, the Jets were defeated 4-1 by the Kings, and the Senators beat the Sharks 4-3.
NBA, the Toronto Raptors won a road game for the first time this season, topping the New Orleans Pelicans 119-93.
