The Moose Jaw Warriors fell to the visiting Tri-city Americans at the Moose Jaw Events Centre on Saturday, final score 7-5. 

The Warriors will host the Swift Current Broncos tomorrow – puck drop is at 7, and you can also catch all the action with James Gallo on Country 100.

The Winmar AAA Warriors outscored the Notre Dame Hounds 9-5 yesterday. Ryan Gibbs scored a hat trick, giving him 17 goals on the season – tops in the league. The team will travel on Wednesday to face off against the Blazers in Saskatoon.

At the Moose Jaw Curling Centre, the Penny Barker rink won the Sask Women’s Curling Tour event with a win over Team Englot in the final. 

Moose Jaw’s Central Cyclones won the Provincial 4-A Volleyball Championship on the weekend, topping Humboldt in two sets, 25-18 and 25-21. Moose Jaw’s Vanier Vikings took the bronze medal.

76 athletes from across the province participated at the season’s first Judo provincial tournament over the weekend in Watrous. A number of Moose Jaw competitors took home medals, including: 

Tachi-Waza (Stand-up competition) 

Ne-Waza (Ground competition

 

NHL, the Toronto Maple Leafs beat Utah 3-2.

NBA, the Toronto Raptors dropped a 122-108 decision to the Cavaliers in Cleveland.
