The Moose Jaw Warriors fell hard in the first of their two-game road trip in Alberta, getting shutout 9-0 by the Calgary Hitmen.
The Warriors are headed to Lethbridge tomorrow to face the Hurricanes – puck drop is at 8, and you can catch all the action on Country 100.
The Winmar AAA Warriors won both their home games against the Battleford Stars over the weekend, 5-2 on Saturday and 7-1 on Sunday. The team next hosts the Swift Current Legionnaires at the Moose Jaw Events Centre on Wednesday.
At the U15 Bonspiel that took place at the Moose Jaw Curling Centre over the weekend, Team Golden Girls got first place, with Game of Stones getting second and Rock Squad in third.
For the U18s, first place for the Boys went to Team Derksen, and first place for the Girls was Team Fonstad.
NHL yesterday, the Canucks beat the Red Wings in overtime 5-4, the Bruins beat the Canadiens 6-3, the Jets lost 3-1 to the Stars, and the Senators were taken out the by Ducks in a shootout, 4-3.
The National Lacrosse League opened up their regular season this past weekend. The Saskatchewan Rush were in action on Saturday night with Austin Shanks scoring 7:13 into overtime to give the Rush a 10-9 win over the Firewolves in Albany, New York. The Rush are on a bye week before their home opener in Saskatoon on December 14th again the Halifax Thunderbirds.
NBA yesterday, the Raptors beat the Heat, 119-116.
