Last night in the NHL, the Lightning beat the Winnipeg Jets 4-1, the Flyers one-upped the Senators 5-4, the Wild blanked the Canadiens 3-nothing and the Oilers took down the Predators 3-2. 

In Thursday night football, the Eagles improved to 8 and 2 with a 26-18 win over the Washington Commanders. 

The Winmar Triple A Warriors are gearing up for a pair of away games against the Yorkton Maulers this weekend, game one gets underway at the Westland Arena Saturday, with the matinee to follow Sunday afternoon. 

The Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are gearing up for a trip to Vancouver where they will meet in Sunday’s Grey Cup championship. The Blue Bombers secured their spot by eliminating the Saskatchewan Roughriders with a 38-22 decision in last week’s Western Final.
