Skrillex, Varg²™ and Bladee Team Up for New Collab, "Is there a place in heaven for boys like me?"

Skrillex, Varg²™ and Bladee toil through the throes of an existential crisis in their new collaboration, “Is there a place in heaven for boys like me?”

The new track appears on the sixth installment of the Nordic Flora Series from the elusive Swedish producer, Varg²™. Back in February the album was revealed to feature Skrillex as well as the Swedish experimental pop artist Bladee, among others.

“Is there a place in heaven for boys like me?” opens placidly with soft vocals atop spacey pads. Twinkly arpeggios then guide us into a breakdown before the chorus hits like a bullet train with propulsive hyperpop drums and cybernetic synths.

The new release follows Skrillex and Bladee’s previous collaborations, “Ceremony” and “Real Spring” off the dubstep icon’s 2023 album Don’t Get Too Close. Swedish compatriots Varg²™ and Bladee also teamed up on “H2D” (with Ecco2K) for the former’s new album.

“Is there a place in heaven for boys like me?” is out now on YEAR0001. You can listen to Varg²™’s new album, Nordic Flora Series Pt.6: Outlaw Music, below.
