Singer Ben Folds has filed for divorce from his fifth wife, according to People.
The Rockin’ The Suburbs singer, 57, initially filed for divorce from wife Emma Sandall after six years together in December 2023.
People reports Folds cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind the split.

Folds and Sandall married in Hawaii in 2017 and court documents allegedly show Folds listed their date of separation as November 20, 2023.
Their divorce was officially finalised on February 27, 2024, with Folds ordered to pay Sandal $US475,000 (approx. $716,000) for any interest she has in their Nashville property.
Folds has also been ordered to pay his now ex-wife $US650,000 (approx. $980,000) over 24 months.

The US-born singer has been married five times. His first wife was songwriter Anna Goodman, whom he was with between 1987 and 1992.
In 1996, Folds married and divorced Kate Rosen in the same year, 1996.

His next two wives were Australian artist Frally Hynes (between 1999 and 2006) and Fleur Stanbrook, whom he was married to between 2007 and 2011.
The musician spoke about his divorce from his first wife, Goodman, during a 2012 interview with The Sydney Morning Herald.
“Anna and I felt pressure to do something with our lives. Getting married was the thing you had to do. My mum was barely 20 when she had me – but it’s what you did,” he said.
“We were married from 1987 to 1992. We had different ideas on how to live as a couple and be engaged in our work. No one ever explained those differences and how to strike a balance.
He also shared a prophetic message about the concept of marriage during this piece.
“As much as I love the idea of being married, it’s not for me,” he said.
While married to his third wife Hynes, Folds welcomed his twins Gracie and Louise.
