Silent Hill Goes Cyberpunk In This Horror Game Coming Next Month

Silent Hill fans have a proper new game to look forward to soon, but before the Silent Hill 2 remake arrives this October, fans may want to check out Hollowbody, the latest in a long line of horror games made to look and play a lot like PS2-era greats such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

Hollowbody comes with a twist though: It takes place in a cyberpunk setting, meaning its haunts will often be more technological in nature. You can see it in action with the new release date trailer below. In it, it’s revealed the game will launch on September 12 for PC via Steam and GOG. It’s a date we’ve been waiting for, as Hollowbody made our list of the most anticipated horror games of 2024 back in January.

With fixed camera angles, resource management, and likely a few or more head-scratching puzzles, Hollowbody looks to pay off on players’ nostalgia for the horror greats of yesteryear. There have been a number of such games as of late, such as Signalis and Crow Country, but even more than those examples, Hollowbody looks like it’s arrived via a time machine from 2001. You can check it out on Steam or GOG ahead of its release in less than a month.
