ScHoolboy Q Teases New Songs Amid ‘Blue Lips’ Video Spree

ScHoolboy Q has teased fans with new music after releasing a number of music videos from his Blue Lips album.

The TDE rapper’s video for “Nunu” features two snippets of unreleased tracks — one at the beginning of the clip and another towards the end.

The first, a mellow, jazzy track seemingly called “Bittersweet,” finds Q rapping introspectively: “N-ggas get to reminiscing when that new shit ain’t really, really hittin’ / Different day, same clock, on the rocks, WiFi was getting minutes / Mama text me, she was proud of me / I ain’t hit her back ’cause I ain’t have the words.”

The second, which is siginificantly longer and takes up most of the latter half of the video, again features live instrumentation but with a heavier rock flavor.

“Hell yeah… fuck yeah!” Groovy Q sings in carefree fashion on the hook, tapping into his inner rockstar.

It’s unclear if either track will receive an official release or this means a deluxe edition of Blue Lips is in the works.

ScHoolboy Q has also released a video for Blue Lips standout “THank god 4 me” which has a psychedelic vibe as it blends imagery related to law enforcement with normal Los Angeles life.

An additional visual was released for The Alchemist-produced “Lost Times” that reimagines classic Looney Tunes cartoons but with various characters’ skin colors darkened to appear Black.

Any new song from Q would follow the recently-released Alchemist collaboration “Ferraris in the Rain,” which also features a verse from the storied producer.

Over a quirky horn loop and crashing drums cooked up by himself, The Alchemist — who is no stranger to the mic, despite his pedigree behind the boards — opens the track with some braggadocious bars.

“I rip the ‘Rari in the rain / Ice in my veins, I’m sippin’ on Bacardi straight / Just getting started, I hardly ate / Icing all on me, I’m a birthday cake,” he spits.

He then passes the baton to ScHoolboy Q, who delivers a short but carefree verse that also finds him flexing about luxury cars.

“The Rolls grill, is that the pearly gates? / The big clock, got the bumpy face,” he raps.

The track appears on Alchemist’s new album The Genuine Article which was released on Friday (September 20) and also contains appearances from Conway The Machine, Action Bronson and Mobb Deep’s Havoc, among others.

ScHoolboy Q has another new verse out today courtesy of Rome Streetz and Daringer’s “Sage,” from the Griselda affiliates’ upcoming joint album Hatton Garden Holdup.
